A Poem to the One I Love the Most - The Holy Trinity

My Heart Does Sing - I am in Love!

My heart does sing - I am in Love!
Yet whom do I adore the most?
There are three, you see, all from above;
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

My Father loved me before I loved Him.
For me He is most jealous;
A consuming fire never dim
His glory leaves me breathless.
A strong tower whose shadow I’m under,
In Him I will ever trust.
I will surely wear his indestructible amour;
Nothing can separate us.
It is He who calms the raging sea.
Fear of Him is knowledge.
He was pleased to break His heart for me
To save me from my sin bondage.

This plan, His son, His only one,
Jesus died and rose for me.
The perfect Lamb, our victory won,
My Saviour and my King.
It is through Him the Father said
That with Him I can be,
Where eye hath not seen, nor ear heard
In all eternity.
My beloved is mine, and I am His;
His bride I soon will be,
Until that time His promise is
To send His Comforter to me.

Counselor, teacher, ever-present friend,
Compelling yes, yet quiet.
The gospel truth he’ll always defend
In me - The Holy Spirit!
He takes to task rebuking sin;
He shows me things to come.
When I’m tempted He helps me win;
A better person I’ve become.
I yearn to never grieve nor shoo
This Testifier of the Son;
When all our days on earth are through
I’ll keep this special one.

My heart does sing - I am in love!
There is a mysterious connection;
All the best hereinabove
Are all one perfect person.

In the beginning was the Word.
My Father is the same,
Who manifest Himself to herd
The flock that He did claim.
Jesus, Word made flesh residing,
 The Father’s glory made pristine.
Tender Holy Spirit abiding
From creation His Godhead clearly seen.
All three in one my blessed Saviour
My life I give to Thee,
My heart does sing forevermore
Hail to the Holy Trinity!

Although I would love to take credit for this poem, to God be the glory! Below is the poem once again, this time with links to His infallible Words.

This poem is about my tremendous love for God my Father, Jesus His Son and The Holy Spirit, and how I will never have to decide which of the three I love the most. By way of contrast, when I was a child I felt very much like I had to decide which of my three sisters I loved the most. One Sunday I wept incessantly in church because I could not sit by all three of them. I remember writing them individual letters revealing how I loved that one the most, but not to tell the others. My sister just posted one such letter on facebook recently. Oh, the struggle of youth!
